Thanksgiving proved that I have the slowest.metabolism.on.the.entire.planet.
But it's over. Despite the fact that I'm still digesting a meal I ate weeks ago.
And since it is over, my embargo on Christmas music and home decor has been lifted.
I typically do a post every December that I dub the "inevitable" post about Christmas decorations (see here and here). The decorations themselves don't really change from year to year, but where the decorations are placed shifts a bit. A few have found their "home," but the others tend to travel.
This is another one of those "inevitable" posts but I've decided to tack on a giveaway to sweeten things up this year. A reward of sorts. For putting up with yet another blog post about Christmas decorations. That isn't really that different from the other ones I've posted in the past.
I mentioned JOYN in a post a couple weeks ago and with our antique house decorated, a little bit of Christmas shopping under my belt, and Folk Angel's Christmas album basically on repeat 24/7, a JOYN giveaway just feels right. You can keep it for yourself-a little Christmas gift from me to you-or give it as a Christmas gift to a lovely lady in your life. And share the story of JOYN.
But first, the Christmas decorations:

| {wreath on the front door: DaySpring} |

| {mini tree on the front porch: tree-Salvation army//planter-WalMart} |

| {my favorite little corner of Christmas//pre-lit tree and ornaments-three years running} |
![]() |
| {fake poisetta basket from my MIL and a BEAUTIFUL print from Etsy...can't remember the artist} |
![]() |
| {love this candle holder...I turned it into a mini tree holder complete with a star on top} |

| {hanging in the laundry room} |

| {little tree in the living room} |

| {in the window above the kitchen sink} |

| {and the second little tree on top of the dresser in, ahem, our bedroom-the print was my Valentine's gift to Mr. F} |
![]() |
| {and just in case you need a holiday polish...check out essie's bobbing for baubles-a lovely navy blue} |
---
And finally, the JOYN button clutch. The one that could be yours. To keep. To give. Up to you.
This lovely cream and brown block printed button clutch is lined with a beautiful purple fabric.
It's just waiting to hold someone's lip gloss. Cell phone. Mints. Tide "to go" pen.
You may have noticed the little "I'm not going to lie, I don't hate comments." I'm pretty serious about it.
So, just one little comment. That's all it will take to get yourself entered to win this sucker. Comment below before Tuesday, December 11th. I'll randomly select a winner and announce the lucky duck on Wednesday, December 12th. And based on the amount of comment traffic this blog typically sees, I'll go ahead and let you know that the odds are QUITE in your favor.

I love you! And I love that you shared JOYN with me!!

ReplyDeleteShannon,
DeleteConsider it done. :)
Thank you and Merry Christmas!
First, I NEED a window in my laundry room to decorate like that. And a front porch like yours . . . anyway. My birthday is the 14th, so I'm obviously the right choice for this clutch :) babyfeet3@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteKim-
DeleteHappy early birthday! That porch was an answer to prayer believe it or not! My husband and I prayed and told the Lord what we wanted in our first home. We thought we were asking A LOT. Hardwood floors. Two bathrooms. Wrap around porch. Big yard. Basketball goal (my husband's addition to the wish list). And then there is was. In our price range. Directly across from a playground with FOUR basketball hoops. :)
We've been there four years and that porch is still my favorite!
Also-your blog is so great! Such an encouragement and I love in your bio how you say you are "awake" for the first time in years!
DeleteVery cute house decor! Love the clutch too.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Noelle!
DeleteAlso-LOVE the name Hudson. :)
DeleteBeautiful decor! So homey & festive!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Natalie! I just linked over to your blog-so fun!
DeleteCute decorations! I want to see more of your house now! It looks so nice and put together...and baby free. Haha. One day I will maybe have decorations and things that sparkle around Christmas time. This year we figured why waste money on something Blanche was going to pull down on top of herself.... hopefully next year. : )
ReplyDeleteYou are more than welcome to come over sometime.
DeleteAnd bring Blanche. I want to test out how our house will hold up to a baby. One day we will have one and I need to know what I'm in for. :)
